A-T Solutions exercise development and implementation training covers a broad spectrum of prevention, readiness, mitigation, and if required, recovery activities. Scenario-based exercises range in scope from a half-day tabletop discussion to a complete predeployment-to-post-recovery event. Tabletop exercises test the theoretical ability of your organization to respond to a catastrophic event on land or under water and provide effective predeployment planning determinations. Our deployment exercises (generally 1 to 3 day events) are designed to accurately evaluate your organization's mission readiness capability.
Improvised Explosive Device Prevention Planning with Tabletop Exercise
Classroom-based, this course teaches participants a capabilities-based approach by using a common framework and repeatable process. The course culminates with a capstone tabletop exercise using a National Planning Scenario involving improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
-
Increase situational awareness of the threats presented by the use of IEDs
- Identify basic IED components, functions, and terrorist target selection criteria
- Organize a methodology to assist planners in IED prevention and protection capabilities that employs a common framework and a repeatable process
- Define the national effort to counter the threat posed by IEDs by focusing on the full range of preparedness activities and the prevention, protection, response, and recovery capabilities-based approach outlined in the National Preparedness Goal
Underwater Terrorism Preparedness Workshop Program
The classroom-based Underwater Terrorism Preparedness (UTP) workshop targets port operational leadership and culminates with a scenario-driven discussion.
Upon completion of this course, participants will:
- Recognize that a port is a complex organization of diverse stakeholders
- Identify with the U. S. Coast Guard (USCG) Federal Maritime Security Coordinator regarding the detailed set of guidelines for preparedness, response, and recovery from a terrorist underwater hazardous device (UHD) incident
- Recognize the need for joint-agency interoperability for identification and mitigation of UHD incidents
- Recognize the importance of minimum training and readiness requirements recommended for key first responders
