Because modern military, intelligence, and law enforcement operations critically depend on timely sharing of information, Innovative Technology Systems (ITS), a wholly owned subsidiary of A-T Solutions, developed the next-generation cross-domain solution, Binary Armor©, powered by deep packet inspection (DPI) technology to enable secure information sharing. Using a unique service-oriented architecture (SOA), ITS developed this commercial off-the-shelf (COTS)-based solution that allows government users to seamlessly communicate on classified and unclassified security domains from a single device.
The Binary Armor application was developed for the CS-2000 and the IBM BladeCenter PN41 using packetC™, CloudShield's network processing language, the first open programming language designed for secure, scalable high-performance parallel network processing. CloudShield is the only DPI vendor that enables independent software vendors (ISVs), SIs, and customers to write applications on its hardware solutions platform.
Highlights of Binary Armor include the following:
- PL4 certified capability
- Runs at OC 48 speed
- Rule sets can be dynamically loaded on the basis of mission needs
- Secure function memory wipe at mission completion
- Communication wrapper lets the user run in stand-alone mode or in a system-of-systems environment
- Audit log functions
- Web service-based software interfaces
- Handles all product types (textual, imagery, binary)
- Data type services dropped into service levels
