Former vice commandant of U.S. Coast Guard and expert on maritime, port and international security joins leading anti- and counterterrorism company
Vienna, Va., June 3, 2010 – A-T Solutions Inc., a global industry-leading anti- and counterterrorism professional services firm headquartered in Tysons Corner, Va., announced today the appointment of retired U.S. Coast Guard Vice Admiral David Pekoske as executive vice president. Pekoske is the former vice commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard, where he served as the second in command, the chief operating officer and the component acquisition executive. Prior to becoming vice commandant, he served as commander of the Coast Guard’s Pacific Area and Coast Guard Defense Forces West.

He brings with him more than 33 years of experience in operations, strategic planning, program analysis and budget development. As commander of Pacific Area, Pekoske oversaw maritime safety, maritime mobility, homeland security and national defense operations of the Coast Guard covering the 73 million-square-mile Pacific basin and Far East. During the course of his career, he commanded six Coast Guard operational units and has served on both the East and West coasts, as well as in the Gulf of Mexico and on the Great Lakes.
