A-T Solutions Hires Paul McQuillan to Head Business Development, Appoints John Coster to Lead Government Relations

Fredericksburg, Va., Feb. 17, 2010 – A-T Solutions, a global industry-leading intelligence and anti- and counterterrorism professional services firm based in the Tysons Corner area of Vienna, Va., has hired Paul McQuillan as executive vice president of business development and appointed John Coster to the new position of executive vice president of government relations.

“These changes are a true win-win scenario for our company and will play an important role in our strategic plan for continued growth,” said Dennis Kelly, CEO and president of A-T Solutions. “Paul’s strong track record of success in forging great customer relationships within defense, intelligence and special operations circles will be a great asset for our organization. We’re also excited that John will be leading a full-time government relations program for us in which he can leverage his rich experience and working knowledge of Congress, our customers and counterterrorism.”

McQuillan brings to A-T Solutions more than 20 years of experience in management and business development in both the public and private sectors. Most recently he served as president of Leonie Industries at its government division headquarters in Arlington, Va. At Leonie Industries, a strategic communications company that primarily supports the Department of Defense, McQuillan increased revenue by 43 percent by focusing on core capabilities and establishing and pursuing contract vehicles with target customers including the U.S. Central Command, the U.S. Special Operations Command, the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization, the Drug Enforcement Agency and federal contract integrators.

“I am honored to join the A-T Solutions team,” said McQuillan. “It’s an exciting time for the company. They have an impressive roster of top talent and experienced professionals from across the military, defense and intelligence communities, and they’ve put the right processes in place to ensure that quality services and products are consistently delivered to their customers. I look forward to having the opportunity to contribute to A-T Solutions’ continued success.”

Coster led A-T Solutions’ business development and government affairs efforts for the past seven-plus years. He joined the company in 2003 after retiring from the Navy as a special operations officer and explosive ordnance disposal technician, bringing with him more than 20 years of experience, including the last four years in congressional oversight as a Congressional Fellow and a member of the Navy’s Office of Legislative Affairs. In the OLA he served as an adviser to senior Navy leadership, members of Congress and their staff on homeland security, port security and anti-terrorism/force protection.

“I’m excited about this opportunity,” said Coster. “Our mission is to protect lives, infrastructure and nations from asymmetric threats, and so many of the decisions made by Congress affect this. It only makes sense for us to ensure that the strategic goals of A-T Solutions are aligned with our national interests.”
