Seaport Enhanced (SeaPort-e) is the U.S. Navy's electronic platform for acquiring support services in specific functional areas including engineering, technical, logistics, and financial and program management. Rolling admission on this multi-prime contract allows the Navy to expand the contractor base by awarding additional Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) prime contracts.
Large business awards have a minimum small business subcontracting goal of 20% of the dollars obligated. Because nearly 85% of contract holders are small businesses, the SeaPort-e approach to acquiring services provides opportunity that fuels the nation's job growth. SeaPort-e provides an efficient and effective means of contracting for professional support services and enhancing small business participation, while emphasizing the Navy Virtual SYSCOM's focus on implementing cost-effective and integrated business practices to better support our Navy.
