Mr. Lutz joined A-T Solutions in October of 2009 and serves as the Executive Vice President for Training Solutions. He retired from the US Army in September of 2009 as a Colonel where he was recognized as a subject matter expert in Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), Counter Improvised Explosive Devices (Counter-IED) operations, and Weapons Technical Intelligence (WTI). Mr. Lutz has over 26 years of extensive experience in all facets of the Department of Defense EOD, Counter-IED/insurgency, combating weapons of mass destruction, and WTI policy, doctrine, planning, operations, training, program and resource management. He commanded at the brigade and battalion level and served three combat tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. Mr. Lutz’s significant military accomplishments include: establishing and commanding twice Combined Joint Task Force Troy (Counter-IED Brigade) in support of Multi-National Corps Iraq; assisting in the creation of the Army Improvised Explosive Device Task Force from concept to inception, which became the foundation of the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization (JIEDDO); and assisting in the formation of the Weapons Analytic Team of the Joint Intelligence Task Force for Combating Terrorism, Defense Intelligence Agency.
