Kent Berner is the Group President for the Intelligence Solutions group within A-T Solutions. Mr. Berner brings together all A-T Solutions intelligence focused business into one unit combining the strengths of the company’s human intelligence (HUMINT) operations with the engineering and technology capabilities of Innovative Technology Systems (ITS), a small business acquired by A-T Solutions in December 2010. Previously Mr. Berner was Chief Operating Officer of Innovative Technology Systems that specialized in IT solutions for the intelligence community, the Defense Department, and other government organizations. As COO of ITS, Mr. Berner played a key role in growing the company’s revenue at double-digit organic growth rates and oversaw the organization’s expansion into the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
Mr. Berner has more than 28 years of technical and programmatic experience within the government and serving the Intelligence Community. Before co-founding ITS in 2003, he held senior level positions with General Dynamics Information Technology, Creative Technology, and Quality Systems.
An active leader in the Northern Virginia business community, in 2006 Mr. Berner founded the McLean Entrepreneurial Advocacy Council, a coalition of more than 100 small businesses whose primary focus is supporting the Intelligence Community.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from James Madison University.
